Hayes: Boise Military Reserve Senior Session

There are some sessions that remind me exactly why I fell in love with photography in the first place, and Hayes’ senior session at the Boise Military Reserve was one of those special evening I’ll never forget. Watching the sun dip behind the foothills while capturing this milestone for such an incredible young man made my photographer heart so happy.

Hayes is a recent graduate of Capital High School, where he not only excelled academically but also led by example every single day. It’s no surprise to anyone who knows him that he graduated as the valedictorian of his class-a true testament to his dedication, perseverance, and kind spirit. Photographing a senior session is always an honor, but capturing these moments for someone as hardworking and humble as Hayes made it even more meaningful.

This fall, Hayes will be heading to Utah to begin an exciting new chapter of is life in college. With his strong work ethic, sharp mind, and genuine heart, there is absolutely no doubt that he has the world at his fingertips. I know big things are ahead for him, and I feel so lucky to have frozen this moment in time just before he spreads his wings.

As the foothills turned golden and the trails quieted down for the evening, I found myself smiling behind my camera, realizing that these fleeting moments are exactly what life is all about-celebrating milestones, cherishing friendships, and looking ahead to the adventures yet to come.
