Boise Wedding Photographer

As a Boise engagement photographer, there are certain sessions that hold a special place in my heart. Carson and Zaidah’s engagement session at the historic Old Idaho Penitentiary was one of those unforgettable evenings. Not only was I capturing a beautiful couple deeply in love, but I was also photographing my nephew as he prepares to begin one of the most exciting chapters of his life.

Watching Carson grow up has been such a joy. It feels like just yesterday he was a little boy running around at family gatherings, and now here he is preparing to become a husband. Seeing him step into this new season of life has been incredibly special. As an aunt, I couldn’t be prouder of the man he has become. As a photographer, I feel incredibly honored to document these milestones for him and Zaidah.

The Old Idaho Penitentiary provided the perfect backdrop for their engagement session. The historic stone walls, rustic textures, and sweeping Boise views created a timeless setting that beautifully reflected their story. One of the things I love most as a Boise engagement photographer is finding locations that add character and meaning to each couple’s images, and the Old Penitentiary never disappoints.

What stood out most during their session was the genuine love and connection they share. Carson and Zaidah have a relationship built on friendship, laughter, and a deep commitment to one another. Throughout the evening, it was easy to see how naturally they fit together. Whether they were sharing quiet moments, laughing together, or simply holding hands as the sun set behind the Boise foothills, their love was evident in every frame.

Even more beautiful is the foundation of faith they share. Their love for each other is rooted in their love for the Lord, and that shines through in the way they treat one another. It’s inspiring to watch a young couple intentionally seek God’s guidance as they prepare for marriage. Their faith is at the center of their relationship, and I know it will continue to strengthen them as they begin their life together.

The excitement continues as Carson and Zaidah prepare for their upcoming wedding in Silverton, Colorado. Nestled in the breathtaking San Juan Mountains, Silverton is one of the most beautiful places imaginable to exchange vows. I am beyond excited that I will not only get to attend their wedding but also capture every meaningful moment behind the camera. Being trusted to photograph such an important day for family is a gift I never take for granted.
