A Joyful Foothills Engagement
Oh it feels soooo good to be back in action doing what I love. I definitely love the off season of accomplishing my to-do list, but capturing moments for my clients who feel more like family is definitely a passion of mine.
Kyla and Kilin’s Joyful Foothills Engagement was pure perfection! Spring weather in Boise is absolutely unpredictable! Kyla and Kilin’s engagement session at the Boise Military Reserve was initially postponed due to high wind gusts and an unpredictable weather pattern that was headed our way. I am so thankful that we were able to reschedule because we ended up with the most dreamy golden light at the Military Reserve! The Boise Military Reserve is one of my favorite locations for Boise Engagement Sessions. From the lushes green trees, the tall grass, the stunning views of the city and the gorgeous wildflowers this location is an absolute must if you are up for an adventure!
This was my first time meeting Kyla and Kilin in person. Initially, Kyla and I chatted via zoom before booking their upcoming wedding. I knew that the moment that I met Kyla and Kilin that this was going to be a joyful and playful engagement session. These two are filled with laughter, love and joy. They really made capturing these moments for them so much fun!
Exploring the Military Reserves with these two was so much. We chatted about the details of their upcoming weeding at Deer Flat Ranch in Nampa, Idaho. I am so excited to party with these two and freeze these moments in time for them. Kyla and Kilin, you made my job way too easy! I couldn’t be happier for you both finding your “person” in each other. The way you love and honor each other in your relationship and cherish each other is so beautiful, and I can’t wait to see you say “I do!” in just a few short months!
It is always so hard to narrow down my favorites, but I hope you love them as much as I do!

As a destination wedding photographer, I have had the privilege of photographing weddings in many beautiful locations, but there was something truly special about this day. Perhaps it was the towering peaks surrounding us, the peaceful atmosphere of Silverton, or the fact that I wasn’t just their photographer-I am also Carson’s aunt.
Watching Carson grow from a little boy into the incredible man he is today has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Being trusted to capture one of the most important days of his life was an honor I will never forget.
